Salsa Party at Mohammad Sultan Saturday 10 August 6pm till 3am, The Tavern Wine & Tapas Bar

We will be playing 100% Salsa and Merengue CD from 6pm onwards till
3am. The whole place including the next-door restaurant is more than
6,000 sq ft but we will only be using the Tapas Bar first. We will
open the restaurant remainder 3,000 sq ft for dancing if the floor
get to pack to dance.

Salsa Hang Out, The Tavern, has more than 20 Top Salsa Videos and two
TVs for Practice

Starting from 10th August The Tavern will be playing Salsa 7 days a
week from 6pm till 2 or 3am. There is a main dances floor and a few
hidden corners that the shy newcomer can practice everyday.

There will be more than 20 Top Salsa Videos and DVDs from top names
like Edie the Salsa Freak, Al Espinoza Liquid Silver, Salsa Brava,
Josie Neglia, Rogelio Moreno and many more. Level range from basic to
Advance to Performance. Would best Dips, Drops, Lifts, Flips, Spins
are all here.  We have two TVs for your viewing. All viewing are
free, you can select any tapes from the counter sign out with your
I/C as deposit.

You and your partner or partners will be able to watch rewind,
forward and practice all the moves on the spot, just buy a drink. If
the dance floor become too pack after 9pm all viewing may be stop by
the management to play only selected favorite Salsa tape, if not
anyone can choose to watch what he or she wants and practice till 2
or 3am in the morning every night.

Bar None Every Monday: All registered salsa regulars will be given VIP entry

All salsa regulars who have already provided their name and handphone number to Salsa Una will be given VIP entry privilege to Bar None for the weekly Salsa Loco Party.com.

You will be able to gain free entry throughout the night . Just state your name at the ticket counter, the staff will than verify it against the Salsa Una VIP list, your handphone number will be use as verification form if needed.

All Salsa regular on the Salsa Una list will be able to obtain VIP tickets with free entries for your friends you can pick them up at Porridge Club at Boon Tat.  You can also call Jac at 90688991 and she can mail you the tickets. The VIP tickets can also be obtain at the payment counter at Bar None on the day itself.

28 August Sunday Antonio and the Band at Pasir Ris

It was more like a family outing day, only a few Salsa and Merengue was played at the end of the concert.  The ambience was very nice but there was less than 20 Salsa Regulars that have turn up. Overall rating 3 star, still worth going.

Every Sunday East Coast MacDonald Salsa Meet

For the last 4 week a group of salsa addicts lead by Timothy, Justin and Lee Yee have been meeting regularly on Sunday for In-line skating and salsa practice at the beach, follow by dinner. We are thinking of arranging regular Sunset BBQ meet for all Salsara and Salsaro on a Sunday 2pm to 7pm. Tell us what you think.

Salsa at Porridge Club on Saturday will be Cancel due to the opening of Tavern

Sat 3rd Aug Salsa at Porridge Club from 8pm-2am

Salsa at Porridge Club have received many wonderful feedback some even have commented that the ambience created feels like being transported to downtown Havana. The BBQ the wine and the music was also very good. 

The party actually lasted up till 4:30am last Saturday.

Porridge Club have agreed to let us hold our Private Salsa Party every Saturday including the 3rd of August. As this Saturday, a lot of the salsaras and salsaros may be going up to Altivo we will not be expecting many people to  turn up at Porridge Club but the song will still be playing and the BBQ on till 2 am just in case and also to keep the momentum going.

It may also be an idea that some of you may want to meet at Porridge Club to arrange for transport to go up to Altivo, as there may be a lot of waiting, everyone can salsa, have a drink, $1.50, before 10pm or even dinner and wait at the same time. You all can also use Porridge Club as the supper place after Altivo and a drop off point for those who still want to keep the music going in them.

Actually the lazy feeling of the place slowing down in the morning
with the BBQ fire still burning and only 1 couple left dancing on the
dance floor after having many drinks, a few table sipping their wine, chatting away and salsa music still playing is a great way to unwind after a long week.

So drop by at Porridge Club this Saturday and ask your friends to come along.
 

Sat 3rd Aug Salsa at Altivo from 9pm

All requested CDs will be played on a first come first serve basis,
the decesion whether it should be played or not is left at the
descretion of the Audience ! ;-) So make sure you bring original CDs
that everyone likes !

For those of you who do not have a clear idea of where 'Altivo' is,
please go to the 'Photos' section and then scroll down to click 'Next
3', that is where you will find the map of altivo, alternatively you
can always go to can.com.sg to find it out, there are two maps there
on this forum, one is from can.com.sg while the other is from Altivo.
I find the can.com.sg more clearer.

For those who are driving, i would like to request you all to try to
give a lift to those who are not, for that to happen, please drive
through the 'Pender court' entrance to Mount faber, so that if you
find people out there who want a lift, they should wait by the petrol
bunk near the Pender court bus stand. Also try to do the same while
you are coming down. To avoid parking problems please come early.

For those who are not driving, bus numbers - 65, 124, 272, 855, 865
go over Pender count, authenticity of my data is completely based on
the map 'altivo2' that has been uploaded. Basically you need to go
towards world trade centre.

Salsa Loco Party.com organize by Salsa Una at Bar None will be on again this coming Monday 29 July 2002. $18 per entry with one drink. 7 pieces Latin Band will be playing 3 45mins  sets from 9:30pm, 11:00pm, 12:30am, 95% salsa and Merengue.

Salsa Loco Party .com organize by Salsa Una at Bar None had a Jam pack Night of more than 450 people turning up  on 22 July Monday. If I am not wrong this is the biggest pure Salsa event ever held in Singapore. 

It is firm, Bar None will play Salsa every Monday Night from 8pm to 2am. The next Salsa Loco Party will be on 29 July.
